Lapis Multi-Strand Bracelet
A cabochon of AAA-grade lapis lazuli, with rich, deep blue color takes center stage for this 3-strand leather-cinched bracelet. Each strand is made using handmade / handshaped lapis bi-conal beads which are also polished by hand using natural leather, in order to bring about a smooth matte finish. These are not the dyed, mass-produced beads now routinely found in today's marketplace. The Turquoise Mine is now releasing beautiful natural material which is rarely offered / available in America, today.
This "Made in the Mine" bracelet uses high quality oiled leather, brass metal nugget beads & deer antler sourced from sheds from the Great American Northwest. An ornate Thai sterling silver slide bead (for tightening / loosening) finishes the bracelet.
I have always admired these traditional American Indian bone chokers and bracelets; they have a raw, powerful, earthy appeal to me. Unlike traditional design, however, the use of high-quality turquoise and gemstones, along with precious metals are used in The Turquoise Mine handmade items. The melding of these two concepts is what sets these pieces apart from anything else found in the marketplace. The over-arching idea, ultimately, is to give the wearer lasting joy in a quality product.
