Native American Pendant Variscite and Sterling
# TW - 10
Although I bought this piece as turquoise, I strongly suspect that the stone, here, is Variscite. This stone has more of a hard, glassy look to it, and the green with brown matrix suggests it, too. Variscite is passed along as turquoise from time to time, but it can easily stand on its own as a collectible gemstone. Either way, it's a fantastic stone set in very nice silver, done by P.A. Smith, Navajo. I have a few of his pieces and they're always top quality. Stamped sterling and hallmarked.
